Driver killed after car crashes into tree at Kilkivan
A 56-year-old man has died after his vehicle crashed into a tree after a horror weekend on Queensland roads which claimed three other lives, including that of a teenage driver in a collision with a motorcycle.

A 56-year-old man has died after his vehicle crashed into a tree at Kilkivan in the Gympie region.
Police said that about 7pm a ute was travelling north along Blacksnake Rd when it has left the road and hit a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, a Victorian man, died at the scene.
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are ongoing.
Earlier, emergency services were called to a crash after a vehicle had left the Bruce Highway and rolled at Gunalda, near Bonnick Rd, just after 10.15pm.
It comes after a horror head-on collision on the Bruce Highway in the Whitsundays in which one driver died and another is fighting for life.
On the Sunshine Coast, a heartbroken mother has remembered her teenage son who “had his whole life ahead of him” after he tragically died in a crash just after 1am on Saturday.
The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 30s, was also declared deceased at the scene.
