Every time she took up an important role, including as the Queen’s representative in Australia, by her side was her supportive husband Michael Bryce, who she describes as a contant source of support and love for during their 57 years of marriage.

Michael passed away this year, and in this deeply personal interview, Bryce shares with Frances Whiting her journey of isolating grief and the ways she has found her way through.

A major part of her coping with the transition has been to immerse herself in her passions of art, reading and family. This is a moving story that will resonate with many readers.

Also this week, writer Roy Eccleston catches up with the multi-talented actor and presenter Noni Hazlehurst, who is known for her time on Play School, her many roles in film and theatre, and from her decade as co-host of Better Homes and Gardens.

This time Hazlehurst draws on her own experience to delve into the topic of ageing and ageism for an episode of a new SBS documentary series.
