DERMOTT Brereton’s choice of jacket has sparked a social media storm, with many viewers likening the former Hawks star’s attire to that of a pirate.

The Hawthorn premiership hero donned the oversized brown coat while providing special comments for Fox Footy during Friday night’s semi-final clash between Hawthorn and Melbourne.

And it didn’t take long for the Twitterverse topic of conversation to change from football to fashion.
