Derby Day 2017: Usain Bolt misses flight to Melbourne

THE world’s fastest man will have to sprint from tarmac to trackside in a last minute dash to Derby Day after Usain Bolt’s plans to touch down in Melbourne hit a snag.

THE world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, wasn’t fast enough to catch his flight to Melbourne.

The sprint superstar was due to arrive on Friday morning ahead of his attendance at Derby Day on Saturday.

Instead, he missed the flight and will be a starter at the track straight off the tarmac.

Bolt is expected to spend time in the Mumm and Kennedy marquees.

It will be his first time in the Birdcage after attending Oaks Day last year with Crown.
