BRENDAN Fevola has been told he’s got a big head at various stages through his colourful life, but he never thought it would land him a fashion ambassador role.

The former footy bad boy has signed on as the face of a new range of sunglasses designed specifically for blokes with big heads.

“I got approached by my manager to be an ambassador for a brand and I thought: ‘Well this is my time, I’ve made it. I’m going to be an ambassador’,” he said.

“I thought I’d be gracing the catwalks and got told I’d be doing a shoot with someone else and I thought, ‘Oh, it could be Jen Hawkins or Megan Gale’, but no it was Boof the dog and me.”

The tongue in cheek campaign for the new Boofhedz sunglass range features Boof the Aussie bulldog as CEO.

Fevola added: “I’ve literally never worn sunglasses before. When you put regular sunglasses on, they hurt the side of your head because they don’t fit.”

The Boofhedz collection is 5-12mm wider than average sunglasses.

“Alex (his wife) thinks it’s really funny. She was like they’re really cool,” Fevola says.

Fevola: 'I've made my family proud and that means the world to me'
