AUSSIES are quenching their thirst by drinking wine with a twist this summer.
Wine over ice is the latest drink trend to splash across the country, with millennials opting for a cooler choice over the festive period.

Figures show spritz sales have more than doubled since last Christmas — up by 160 per cent, with new beverages A’tivo and Sofi hitting the market.
The cocktail-like drinks are designed to be enjoyed over ice as an alternative to traditional wine.
Emma Hosking, 26, is excited to wine and dine over the summer with a cool drink in hand.
“It is more refreshing than your traditional wine and it’s great to enjoy with friends,” she said. “It’s the perfect summer drink.”
Treasury Wine Estates managing director Angus McPherson said the market for wine-based products made to go over ice had never been better.
“It’s a refreshment drive,” he said. “Wine-based products made to go over ice with fruit and soda water are booming.”
