VAMFF 2020: Your ultimate guide to Melbourne Fashion Festival

One of Australia’s biggest fashion events is back for another year. From Dion Lee to Balenciaga, here’s how you can see the best runway shows at the Melbourne Fashion Festival.

Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival is back for another year.

The 11 day festival runs from March 4 to March 14 across various locations around the city.

This year the theme is Fashion’s Wonderland, a campaign designed to break down the stereotype of fashion.

VAMFF will showcase some of the best collections from Australian and international designers, from Carla Zampatti and Dion Lee to Balenciaga and Balmain.

Celebrities including Adam Goodes, Elle Ferguson, Carrie Bickmore, Dale Thomas, Tim Robards, Lana Wilkinson and Tim Robards will all be in attendance.

There will also be beauty workshops, forums, retail events, industry seminars and live entertainment.

On March 13, the Australian Fashion Summit returns.

It aims to educate fashion-focused individuals about the industry and will explore sustainability, influences, investments and risk taking.

Fifty dollars from every full price ticket will be donated to the Victoria Bushfire Appeal.

Glynis Trail-Nash Fashion Editor at The Australian will host the event and Celeste Barber, Lauren Brown, Lin Lin, Lisa Gorman and Rebecca Vallance are some of the guest speakers expected at the summit.

VAMFF will also host the National Graduate Showcase, presented by Target.

The runway will shine a spotlight on the next generation of Australia’s upcoming fashion designers that have been hand-picked from universities and institutions.
