'The edge of the world': insane video shows side of Australia few people see

A video showing South Australia's cliffs looking like the end of the world has sent social media users into raptures.

Traveller @daninatalie, who is documenting her trip around Australia, has sent shockwaves through TikTok with a spectacular video of South Australia's Bunda Cliffs.

Whether they inspire terror or FOMO in you, the Nullarbor's Bunda Cliffs are a sight to behold. If you aren't the proud owner of a Land Trooper and 12 months' leave (and a strong stomach for heights), don't worry: you can visit this part of the Great Australian Bight from the safety of your phone screen, thanks to traveller @daninatalie's videos.

Daniiii (as she calls herself on TikTok) recently posted a bunch of videos posing atop South Australia's Bunda Cliffs, which are where the bone dry Nullarbor meets the ocean hundreds of feet below in spectacular fashion. Her videos show her van being parked with its back to the ocean, the sheer rock walls of the cliff and the greedy waves below.

The incredible blues and greens of the ocean contrasting with the sandy whites of the desert quickly helped the video start trending, with Aussie travel company wotif.com reposting it too. Among the various videos of the Bunda Cliffs now chorusing through TikTok, comments from fellow travellers range from seriously impressed to seriously freaked.

"Legit the edge of the world" and "the vastness is insane" some wrote, while others made comments like: "Definitely, definitely needs a retaining wall."

Others reminded Daniiii things like "don't sleep walk at night" and asked her how on earth she was calm enough to trust a Toyota handbrake with her life ("looks like a good place to die").

Others tagged their friends, urging them to pack their stuff, and shared how much the video had shocked them (see, the all caps masterpiece: "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME THIS IS GORGEOUS" and the contemplative: "that’s why we call it mother earth, this rock is so old, this cliff is a true demonstration that we are here for a really short time").

More remarks included: "my inner anxiety would be scared the cliff would collapse" and "like a giant jigsaw puzzle, strange how all the continents piece together."

Daniii isn't the only TikTok user to sing the cliff's praises, with accounts @nathsway and @livin.withflair both posting incredible footage of them too, inspiring fearful commenters to make such remarks as "beaches are also the edge of Australia, but ok."

Another said: "Australia be like take this shit nice looking countries." For those looking to see the Bunda Cliffs for themselves, other users discussed its location, claiming it's "just off the Eyre highway" and is about halfway between Adelaide and Perth.

According to Google Maps, the Bunda Cliffs is a 13 hour drive from Adelaide, and a 15 hour 20 minute drive from Perth. So you probably wouldn't want to run out of petrol, or get a flat...
