Crowds soaked up the sunshine and plenty of amber goodness at 2024 Gippsland Beer Fest.
Hosted at Tinamba outside the Tinamba Hotel, the street was closed off for the thrilling beer wonderland event from 11am on Saturday.
With the weather passing 30C, attendees from all over flocked to the festival for all sorts of different beers and other beverages, as well as live entertainment including singer Mick Harrington.
Tinamba Hotel owner Simon Johnson said ahead of the event he was expecting about 500 people to turn up.
“It would be a bit of growth from last year,” Mr Johnson said.
“It’s going to be a great day — weather-wise it’s going to be perfect — we’re very enthusiastic to get all the brewers together in that one place.
“That’s what I suppose is unique about the event — you don’t have to go and travel 600km from one end of Gippsland to the other to try all these breweries — we’re bringing them together into one place for everyone.”
Mr Johnson said the event helped continue the “education of beer lovers” in Gippsland.
“You know — the craft beer scene and getting away from those mainstream breweries,” he said.
“We’ve had great support from a few sponsors this year — including Wellington Shire Council and Destination Gippsland — so we will promote them tomorrow (Saturday).”
The Herald Sun made an appearance to capture all the pictures of guests having a fun day out with their family and friends.
Tinamba has hosted many successful events, one of those being the Tinamba Food and Wine Festival held in April this year.
