Hit rewind and you’ll find yourself back in 2014, watching Gabi Grecko and Geoffrey Edelsten get engaged at the Melbourne Cup.
Ridden by Ryan Moore and trained by German Andreas Wohler, Protectionist won the main race by four lengths — becoming the first German-trained winner of the Melbourne Cup.
Almost 101,000 people attended the popular race day, including Fashions on the Field winner Christine Spielmann from the NT.
Take the tape even further back and you’ll get to watch Makybe Diva take home the Cup for a second year in a row in 2004.
