Nathan Broad and his reality TV star wife Tayla have announced they are expecting a little girl - revealing they’d had a scare, but their first child “held on”.

RICHMOND star Nathan Broad and model wife Tayla are expecting their first child.

The couple announced they will be welcoming a baby girl with Tayla revealing she’d had a scare “but bubba held on”.

“Fell in love with our very fidgety/ always on the move bubba,’’ she wrote on social media.

Tayla, nee Damir, shared photos of her ultrasound and her popping belly, saying she grew a bump literally overnight.

The Myer model posted a picture of her standing in the kitchen with the caption — ‘cooking for three!’ — and the Tigers premiership star simply re-posted with the words ‘My Girls’.

The Broads got married in October in the Gold Coast hinterland surrounded by family, friends and many of Broad’s teammates.

Tayla said she still can’t get over the past four months, detailing her moves.

Tayla posted a photo of her bump.

“Married, name change from Damir to Broad, sold and moved house, pregnant with a little girl, huge work opportunities, countless core memories with friends, bucket list honeymoon and still do many huge moments still to yet to come over the next 11 months,’’ she wrote.

“Feeling extremely grateful today and every day!”

At their wedding Tayla wore a white floral gown by Oglia-Loro Couture, while Nathan looked sharp in a classic tuxedo from MJ Bale.

Tayla and Nathan Broad had wanted to start a family after their wedding.

Tayla previously alluded to wanting to start a family soon after marriage.

“I’m traditional in the sense than I would ideally like to be married first, but after that, let the baby-making begin,’’ she said.

Nathan and the former Love Island winner went public with their relationship in December 2019.
