BUDDING ballet dancers are about to take to the stage.
The Winter Gala of Dance performed by one of Australia’s oldest dance schools, the National Theatre Ballet School, features a triple bill to show off the students’ talents.
Director of ballet Beverly Jane Fry described the show as a magical journey of dance.
“The audience will experience the beautiful serene Romantic era of the 1800s, the golden era of the 1950s and the energetic vivacious quality of the modern day,” Ms Fry said.
The works to be performed include Pas De Quatre from 1845, The Pied Piper created by Fry in 2006 and Frederick Ashton’s Les Patineurs.
Winter Gala of Dance, National Theatre, St Kilda, July 1-2. Bookings: 9525 4611 or nationaltheatre.org.au.
