Live Wire Park unveils zip line rollercoaster near Lorne

A NEW Victorian adventure park is calling all daredevils for what it says is Australia’s most extreme zip line, which has thrill seekers whizzing through the Otways at high speeds.

DON’T look down — Lorne’s hair-raising Live Wire Park is calling all daredevils for some good old-fashioned outdoor adventure.

The park, nestled in the heart of Victoria’s Great Ocean Road region, has thrill seekers glide, zip and climb through over 83 activities perched among the towering treetops of the stunning Otway Ranges.

Boasting two extreme ropes courses, a suspended scenic canopy walk and Australia’s most thrilling zip line — the 525-metre-long Shockwave Zip Coaster — the attraction is guaranteed to have something for adrenaline junkies of all levels.

Suspended bridges, tree-scaling activities, a three-storey climbing wall and a 10-metre bungee jump are also among the dozens of obstacles the park has to offer.

The Live Wire Park is also Australia’s first adventure park to run completely off the grid, using solar power and water collection on site to optimise sustainability and the use of natural resources.

General admission starts at $5 for children and $15 for adults.
