"So, there's a nudist beach only about an hour's drive away from where I live," a man began a now-viral Reddit post.
"It's a relatively well-known spot and it explicitly allows for nudity and there are signs up warning prudes who have complained for years that, yes, people are allowed to be nude there."

"She was trying to 'subtly' tell me what she really wanted"
"I've been going there about once a week recently, and every time I get nude. I like to go on Sunday mornings because it's mostly empty," he continued.
"Last Sunday, I arrived and stripped down as normal. After about 20 minutes, a woman arrived and came over to talk to me.
"This woman explained that her three kids were waiting behind the dunes and wanted to come onto the beach. I could see them in the distance; they looked to be in the age range of six-12."
The man, confused by the request, replied to the woman, "Okay... and?" because he knew she was trying to subtly hint that she wanted him to put on his clothes but wanted her to spell it out to him.
"She then just asked me to 'get decent.' I told her no, I wasn't done using the beach yet. She then told, not asked, me to leave so her kids could come to the beach," he explained.
"This pissed me off, so I told her to leave me alone, and we argued for a bit. She ended up storming off.
"I left about 20 minutes later and saw that the woman and her kids returned to their car. I waved at her and said to enjoy the beach and she flipped me off."
He concluded: "While I was really angry in the moment, I'm starting to feel like I got dragged down to her level and made an ass out of myself. Opinions?"

"I don’t really understand why you'd go here"
Commenters were torn, with one person replying: "If you don’t want your kids to see a flaccid penis at a nude beach, there’s a very simple fix… Don’t go to a nude beach."
Another replied: "She knowingly brought her kids in to an environment where they could have been exposed to nudity. What would she have done if there were 20 folks there in the buff? Fought them all? It’s her own negligent poor parenting that put her children in that situation. She clearly expects the world to revolve around them, and that’s entitled as f***. I’ll bet they all get participation trophies, too."
However, this person thought he could have handled the whole thing slightly better: "While your initial frustration was understandable, responding with anger and hostility likely exacerbated the conflict. Reflecting on the situation and considering alternative ways to handle similar incidents in the future can help maintain a positive experience for all visitors to the beach."
