Dad pokes fun at 'entitled' baby registry trend

"Might as well throw the wish list on there," he joked. Have you witnessed this?

Baby registry shockers: the most unexpected items

A clip has gone viral for poking fun at the latest baby registry trend, where parents include items that are clearly meant for themselves rather than the baby.

The post features a man with a slightly bewildered expression on his face, scrolling through a baby registry.

As he scrolls, the caption reads, "POV: looking at someone's baby registry."

The video then shows the absurdity of some of the items that parents-to-be are slipping into their registries.

The questionable baby registry trend

The registry starts off with typical baby items like dummies and baby clothes but quickly shifts to more questionable items.

Among these are a hamper full of potato chips, a women's dress, a $1.2k Samsung TV, and even a drone.

The caption reads, "Might as well throw the wish list on there."

"The chips do seem important"

The post quickly went viral, with many jumping in on the lighthearted banter.

One user added, "The baby needs his or her birth filmed via drone, I don’t know I don’t make the rules it’s just what they are."

Another comment agreed that the snacks were a necessity, "Okay, but the chips do seem important."

Then this person joked, "The dress is for when the baby grows up," while another user pointed out, "The best thing for milk supply is a well-fed mum. I put SO many snacks and electrolytes on my registry."

"Saw one once where the parents genuinely sent a list like this out. Really expensive stuff and not a single thing for the baby. Also said visitors to the house had to bring a gift of alcohol," someone else shared.
