Impressive Victorian properties win big at the Australian Interior Design Awards

Ever wanted to peek inside of some of our best looking homes? Several stylish Victorian houses, offices and public spaces won big at the Australian Interior Design Awards last night — here’s what took home a prize.

Dream Home, Thursday 27th September

Talented interior designers who made the inside of our homes and workplaces swoonworthy have won big at the Australian Interior Design Awards.

Five Victorian design firms were among the winners, announced at a gala dinner in Melbourne last night.

Carr won the hospitality design award for the United Places Botanic Gardens project in South Yarra, that houses both residential properties and Melbourne chef Scott Pickett’s Matilda 159.

Pierce Widera, behind the look of Northcote cafe Bicycle Thieves, took the prize for emerging interior design practice.

The top award for the night, the Premier Award for Australian Interior Design, was won by New South Wales’ USFIN Atlelier by George Livissianis for his creative take a genderless hair salon.

About 550 of Australia’s most esteemed interior design and architecture practitioners and professionals attended.
