Launched in 2016, subscription service OnlyFans now boasts more than 3.5 million creators and 300m users worldwide.
And it’s not just those numbers that are staggering. The platform’s top performing creators are raking in as much as $100,000 a month.
With those sorts of dollars being made, it’s no wonder OnlyFans has become a lucrative money-spinner to those who dare to bare all.
One of South Australia’s top earners is 27-year-old Alex Paige Moore who, in her best week, took home more than $54,000.

Ms Moore is among the site’s top 0.1 per cent of content creators and told The Advertiser joining the platform was “the best decision” allowing her family to stop “living week to week”.
“I was working two jobs and on Centrelink,” she said.
“Now I have a beautiful home and I’m supporting my family.
“This is stuff I’d only dreamt of.”
Ms Moore initially rose to internet stardom by documenting her weight loss after giving birth to her daughter.
She said an ex partner suggested she transition to adult content creation in late 2021 and it “sort of blew up” from there.
“It’s scary to put yourself out there,” she said.
“And I didn’t expect I would be so successful at it. But in my third month of doing it, I made $54k in a week.
“It was crazy. I bought a Range Rover.”
Ms Moore said the key to her success was hard work, “going at it head first” and using multiple social media accounts to market her OnlyFans profile.
“I have three Instagram accounts, two TikToks and a Twitch account,” she said.
“I spend one day a week just planning and prepping for everything.
“It is a lot of work – you have to keep staying relevant.”
The creator, who has more than 650k followers on one Instagram profile, said creating an online persona had also helped.
“When people say they don’t like that girl online, that doesn’t bother me because I know that’s not really me,” she said.
“Sure it’s a bit of my personality and I have enough confidence to put that stuff online, but it’s also a character I use.”
Beyond the character, Ms Moore is a talented singer with dreams of making it in the music industry.
She doesn’t consider OnlyFans a barrier to her career prospects but instead said it given her a leg up to pursue her goals and the funds to self-release her music.
“It is so hard to break into the music industry and I am so grateful I’ve been able to do this,” she said.
“I’m having fun. I enjoy my work. I’m not stopping now.
“It’s worked out really well for me so as long as people want to see me, I’ll keep doing it.”
