Jack Viney’s wife Charlotte shames troll for disgraceful comment about baby

Charlotte Viney, the wife of Melbourne footy star Jack Viney, has shamed a troll who made a disgraceful comment about their daughter.

Charlotte Viney, the wife of Melbourne footy star Jack Viney, has called out shocking abuse on social media amid another health scare for their baby daughter.

The mum of two reposted the cruel comment under a picture of Jack holding their four month-old Chloe.

Charlotte labelled the comment “disgraceful” and said it was all the more upsetting given Chloe is in hospital now with a virus.

“They just need to be called out because it’s just unacceptable and sickening (to comment on a baby’s appearance),’’ Charlotte told the Herald Sun.

Chloe has previously suffered health complications with wet lung — a respiratory issue where a baby has leftover amniotic fluid in their lungs shortly after birth, which causes rapid breathing.

“Our beautiful girl arrived on the 3.1.2023 and gave us quite the scare with wet lung,” Charlotte wrote on Instagram.

“She is just perfect, all recovered and back in our arms.

“Mila is already taking her big sister duties very seriously.”

The Vineys, who married at Mitchelton Winery in 2019, welcomed their first daughter Mila in June 2020.

They headed into the AFL hub when she was just nine days old.

Viney, a former Demons co-captain and premiership midfielder, said it had been a rough start to parenthood.

“I think back to that time — Charlotte was having trouble feeding, Mila was losing weight and we obviously didn’t have any family support up there, so it was stressful,’’ he told the Demons’ website.

“The amount of strength that’s required from Charlotte, to overcome that, is something that I will forever be in awe of.”

Jack told the Herald Sun recently he is loving being a girl dad.

“I’m well and truly outnumbered now at the house,’’ he said.

“Mila just loves her so much and does not leave her alone. It’s such a rewarding experience so far and I grew up in a really male dominated family. My dad was one of four boys and I’m one of two boys.

“The thought of having girls was a bit daunting but once Mila came along we’ve been best buddies. Second time around it’s good and we have a lot of help.”
