I'm a professional cleaner and I never leave Bunnings without these items

Your house will look and smell amazing - and one of the tips will set you back just 50c!

Cleaner shares her top Bunnings finds

Ever wondered how professional cleaners get things so incredibly clean

I have… until I stumbled upon Hailey McNicol's TikTok

She's the Director of Proper Cleaning Group, which employs ten staff members, and not only does she know her stuff, but she's willing to share it too, so we rookies at home can take notes.

Recently, she took her followers on a shopping trip to Bunnings to show off her favourite cleaning products for keeping homes spotless, without the need for a professional clean.

She insists on products in easy-to-use containers that efficiently remove buildup, are cost-effective, and have an ‘amazing’ scent.

The Bunnings cleaning products a professional swears by

First up, Hailey, who has extensive commercial and end-of-lease cleaning experience, says she ‘swears by’ Selley’s Oven Cleaner, $7.19, for combatting hard-to-remove grime.

"It's definitely strong, but it strips," she says. "Nothing strips as well as this, and I’ve tried every oven cleaner on the market."

She recommends the Hallmark Cooktop Scraper, $10.99, for cleaning ceramic or induction cooktops. It removes baked-on spills and can also work on hard-to-remove residue in ovens or on floors.

"Fairy dishwashing liquid - we use this for everything," she continues, holding up a bottle of the multi-purpose spray, which costs just $5.50 and can be used "everywhere."

For $9.98, Hailey also suggests people try Bar Keepers Friend, which helps cleanse and polish anything stainless steel.

Moving onto the bathroom, she says you can’t go past the Harpic Toilet Cleaner, $3.49, for getting toilets sparkling clean.

And for any kind of mould build-up, she says Selleys Rapid Mould Killer, $8.69, is the "best in the market", and the Longlife Grout Killer, $10.99, is "incredible" when used in conjunction with a Grout Brush, $4.79.

Hailey's favourite way to freshen up her carpets is with No Vac Carpet Cleaner, which costs $9.35. It offers a fast and effortless way to maintain carpets without vacuuming, and Hailey says it smells incredible.

To create her "signature scent" when mopping, she’ll use the Diggers Multi-Purpose Surface Cleaner, $8.99, which is a hospital-grade disinfectant with a sweet lavender scent.

While she’s there, she makes sure to grab a giant roll of 100 Chux Cloths for $9, and last but not least, a packet of 20 Microfibre Cloths for $10, which works out to be only 50 cents each.

"I dislike cleaning IMMENSELY, but this is AMAZING," admitted a third.
