The ‘game changing’ $159 bedding hack Gen Zs are loving

Wanting to upgrade your bedroom on a budget? A best-selling, TikTok viral brand just released a game changing new collection.

Depressing new work trend for Gen Z and Millennials

If TikTok’s For You page feels like your second home, you’ve probably seen someone decorating their space with Hommey’s iconic bedsheets.

Now, Australia’s beloved homewares brand has launched its most anticipated and versatile bedding collection to date, and trend-savvy fans are already embracing it.

The Versa Bedding Collection is crafted from soft, breathable, 100 per cent organic, yarn-dyed cotton.

It was designed with budget-conscious shoppers in mind, starting at an affordable price point of just $49 for pillowcases and $159 for quilt covers.

The brilliance of the collection lies in the six reversible pinstripe duvets, offered in 12 complementary colours, letting shoppers instantly transform their rooms.

The new affordable bedding range

The 2-in-1 quilts evolved from the Hommey team’s personal experience after they recognised that switching up your bedroom aesthetic typically meant buying a completely new bedding set, which can be a costly endeavour.

“With the Versa collection, we’re solving three distinct customer challenges: First, you can instantly transform your bedroom aesthetic with just a flip of your quilt. Second, you eliminate the need for multiple covers, freeing up precious storage space. Third, the two-in-one design delivers exceptional value, offering twice the styling options at a single price point,” Justin Kestelman, founder of Hommey, shares with news.com.au.

“This multifunctional approach aligns perfectly with today’s conscious consumers who seek versatility, space efficiency, and smart investment pieces for their homes.”

‘Premium design at an affordable price’

The range was developed in direct response to community demand and trend forecasting, which indicates that Gen Z and Millennials prioritise self-expression.

“They crave spaces that feel personal, flexible, and unique,” Kestelman explains.

“Versa taps into this by offering a mix-and-match colourway that allows them to curate their bedroom aesthetic however they prefer, giving them the freedom to change their space effortlessly.”

In a time when people are being more mindful of their spending, he emphasises that creating an affordable range that doesn’t compromise on style or quality was essential.

“We wanted to create a fun yet practical collection that delivers premium design at an affordable price. The reversible design instantly doubles your styling options for the value of one, making high-quality bedding more accessible.”

Styling tips

When it comes to styling the range, Kestelman recommends neutral pairings like Cloud and Vanilla for a minimalist look, layered with tonal cushions for a chic, effortless vibe.

For a bold statement, Aster and Mulberry is the standout choice, paired with deep jewel tones for a rich, fashion-forward aesthetic.

For a maximalist approach, he suggests playing with clashing colours and textures, as the range was designed to be mixed and matched.

Another tip: “Make sure to fold the quilt back at the top of the bed to reveal both sides of the reversible design for an easy styling trick that instantly adds dimension to your space”.
