In second place was the hoya with 2.002 million hashtags. The plant has distinctive almond shaped leaves, and pretty, pastel coloured flowers, that have a delicate scent.

Another popular house plant was the fiddle leaf fig, favoured by celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian – which had 307,196 hashtags and came in tenth place.

Fiddle leaf figs can live inside if put near a window, with some sunlight, but not too much. Gardenista.com also recommends keeping them away from drafts and making sure the soil isn’t too dry or too wet, and considering getting a humidifier nearby the fig. Good luck!
