Om Nom at the Adelphi Hotel on Flinders Lane had been temporarily closed for a couple of weeks, but on Thursday revealed it had shuttered for good after 11 years of trade.
The Herald Sun understands staff have lost their jobs as a result of the closure.

A spokesman could not say how many jobs had been impacted.
A new venue to replace Om Nom is set to open in the Flinders Lane hotel in the coming months.
The Herald Sun was told the Adelphi Hotel had informed diners with reservations — including those for Mother’s Day — about the closure via email and phone this week.
The closure comes almost a year after the Adelphi Hotel was sold by prominent businessman Ozzie Kheir and his co-investors for around $25m to the Sydney property development group Virtical.
Nomad, which leases the basement of the hotel, remains unaffected by the closure.
The posh dessert restaurant first opened in 2013, and was best known for its artful sweets and daring cocktails.
