People are excited over a new burger fakeaway meal that has a difference of 200 calories from the real deal.

Social media user @deficitincalories took to Instagram to share his take on a Simply Grill’d with Cheese.

The digital creator revealed his version was 436 calories while the original burger was

638 calories.

The food fan headed to his local Woolworths to pick up the ingredients before breaking down his recipe.

He cooked his beef, seasoning it with salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika, before layering up his burger.

He used burger thins as the bread, layering the bottom bun with tomato relish and cos lettuce.

The foodie then added tomato, onion, the patty, cheese and herbed mayo.

He put the final piece of bread on top and reminded people to toast their burger buns.

A Simply Grill’d with cheese costs $13.50 in store, without adding any specialty bread.

Social media users were stoked over the incredible fakeaway tip.

One said: “This is soooo much better! Really don’t like those low carb buns at grilld they taste horrible!!!”

Another added: “What a bussin fakeaway. I’d prefer country split wholemeal bread slices over the thins though lol, much bigger for like only 10 extra cals.”

“Absolutely mouth watering!” another commented on the clip.

It’s not the first time a fakeaway has gone viral – with one chef recreating a Hungry Jack’s burger while personal trainer Bec Hardgrave made an Aldi version of a Big Mac.

Fakeaways are a favourite for people trying to save a buck or make healthier alternatives to their favourite.
