Macca’s dumps two fan favourite menu items, launches four new products

McDonald’s has added four “delicious” all-new items to its Aussie menu – but it means saying goodbye to two fan favourites.

McDonald’s has added four “delicious” all-new items to its McCafe menu nationwide.

The fast food giant confirmed that from today customers can enjoy the new tasty treats – barbecue, bacon and cheese toastie, banana and blueberry loaf, apple and cinnamon muffin, and double choc muffin.

The two muffins, which are both permanent additions to the menu, mean the Golden Arches has said goodbye to two fan favourite items, no longer selling blueberry muffins or mud muffins.

A Macca’s spokesperson said the fast food chain is keen for customers to try the new menu items.

“We’re excited to see what customers think of the delicious new additions to our McCafe menu,” they told news.com.au.

“McDonald’s is always listening to customer feedback as we evolve our menu with new products and choices for them to enjoy.”

Aussies in the past have declared the mud muffin – which temporarily disappeared off menus back in 2016 – as “the best muffin in the world”.

“Bring back the mud muffin McDonald’s, the new choc coconut is terrible, take it from someone who would have up to five mud muffins a week – lost me as a customer until you bring it back!” one man wrote on Facebook at the time.

Another fan of the decadent treat wrote: “Has the chocolate mud muffin, literally the best muffin in the world, disappeared again? Please help!”
