2022 ANGASTON RD GROWERS MACVALE VINEYARD: RRP $25
Another worthy contender for Coonawarra’s wine crown. This vibrant, light-bodied chardonnay smells of yellow nectarines, pear and lemon. To taste, stone fruit, yellow apples and lemony characters with a lolly-like mouthfeel. Abundant with ripe fruit, minus the face-slapping acidity. A long finish is a testament to quality.
2021 ZONTE’S FOOTSTEP CREAM PUFF: RRP $28
Sweet with lolly bag aromas on a hot day. Smells like milk chews, yellow peaches, pineapple candy and grapefruit juice. Does what it says on the bottle with an equally cushy and creamy palate, whispering with nougat, tinned yellow peaches and vanilla ice cream. A dry wine with warmth – and sharp refreshing citrus. Smells weightier than it drinks.
2022 WILLOW BRIDGE ESTATE G1-10: RRP $35
Loud with aromas of white nectarines, pear, lemons and honey. A giving, wide-reaching palate of white peaches, nectarine and nougat, levelled acidity and a creamy mouth-feel. A lingering finish keeps you coming back for more.
