DUNKELD GENERAL STORE
A visit to the Dunkeld General Store is a must for great coffee and I cannot go in without picking up probably the best French vanilla slice you will find in the Grampians, maybe even Victoria. Also, it’s a great place to buy local produce.
93 Parker St, Dunkeld
BLACK AND GINGER WINES
Set up by a local wine maker and a city boy, this winery is one of the smallest in the region. They produce award-winning shiraz but are also trying their hand at more interesting varietals including graciano and orange muscat — a really exciting young winery to watch.

JACK AND JUDE
The best breakfast in the area is available at this Hamilton cafe. Using local produce the menu changes around what’s available and in season. Great atmosphere and staff.
99 Brown St, Hamilton
BEST’S GREAT WESTERN
An institution in the area, Best’s is one of Australia’s oldest wineries. Wine tasting is a must at the cellar door which offers a bit of history as it is situated in the original stables and you can view old winery equipment, maps of the area and Henry Best’s original journal dating back to the 1800s.
111 Bests Road, Great Western
MOUNT ZERO OLIVES
We source pulses, olives and oil from Mount Zero for the pub and can’t rate the quality high enough. They are one if the oldest groves in Australia and the quality is exceptional. We use the pink lake salt which is produced in partnership with a local Aboriginal community.
