Carrie thanked Bluey for surviving pandemic

Carrie has previously written about her love for Bluey, expressing her gratitude for the cartoon family for helping her own family survive the pandemic in Melbourne.

"Thank you for getting our kids through the toughest year in their young lives to date,” she wrote in an open letter.

“You made us laugh when we were stretched as a family. You were there for me when I needed a good cry but didn’t want to worry them.

“Wasn’t that an emotional ep?’ I would say as the closing scenes tugged at my fragile heart.”

Carrie went on to say that she felt like she was writing to a dear friend.

“It’s hard to believe that your little animated family of blue heelers from suburban Brisbane could capture the hearts and minds of my family so wholly.”

Carrie is the latest Aussie celeb to appear as a character in Bluey after guest appearances singer Kate Miller-Heidke, surfer Mick Fanning and comedian Hamish Blake.

In the episode 'Dragon' - which aired on Mother's Day - Bluey introduces us to Chilli's mum - voiced by Miller-Heidke.

The Aussie songbird was equally pleased to take on the role in the much-loved animation.

"As the parent of a 6-year-old, I've seen pretty much every episode of Bluey. Not only is it one of the only kids' shows that doesn't make me want to scratch my own bowels out with a stick, it's consistently clever, funny, surprising and so full of heart that I'm not ashamed to say it regularly makes me cry."
