Bluey fan theory points out Bingo’s possible health issues

There are multiple hints thrown into episodes that suggest Bingo has Celiac Disease.

10 things only parents of 'Bluey' fans will understand

Ever since it launched on the ABC in 2018, Bluey has built a global fanbase on relatable parenting content. In almost every scene of the Aussie animation, fans can either see themselves or someone they know in the lovable characters.

There's the hint of mental struggle in dads in episode Stickbird, possible childhood trauma in Space, and fertility issues in the emotional ep, Onesies.

Adding to the whole relatable theme, a recurring topic about food has now also sparked a new fan theory about intolerances. And if true, it tells us a bit more about Bluey and her sister Bingo.

Does Bingo have Celiac Disease?

TikTok user @world.shaker caused a stir recently after sharing a few scenes he and other die-hard Bluey fans spotted that suggest Bingo is either gluten-intolerant or suffering from Celiac Disease.

“Finally addressing the #Bluey theory that Bingo has #Celiacs,” he shared with the video.

According to the clip, the theory has been doing the rounds for some time - and questions about Bingo's health began to circulate when Bingo was in hospital in the episode Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound. There was no explanation about why Bingo was in the hospital with mum Chilli by her side, which prompted many fans to share their theories.

So what moments exactly have fans convinced it's something like an intolerance that has been bugging Bingo?

Let's take a look.

In the Daddy Dropoff episode, Bandit is getting the girls' lunchboxes ready while providing some relatable commentary about what he's packing.

“OK, gluten-free... gluten-not-free," he mumbles as he places food items in a green and purple lunch box.

In episode Grandad, Bingo is seen eating out of the lunch box that was being filled with gluten-free options, which had fans convinced the theory was correct.

“The one that Bingo has is the one that’s getting the gluten-free food,” the TikToker points out.

Other scenes from previous episodes show Bandit and Bingo going grocery shopping and filling the trolley with gluten-free options, hinting that someone in the home definitely can't eat gluten.

And this is where things get confusing. Could it be both Heeler pups have the intolerance? Not just Bingo?

Who has the food intolerance in Bluey?

A Reddit thread has had many fans debunking the theory that it's Bingo who has the intolerance because another episode features Bluey potentially eating the gluten-free foods that Chilli and Bandit pack.

"I think Bluey is gluten-free, not Bingo. In Daddy Dropoff the purple lunchbox is 'gluten-free' and the green lunchbox is 'gluten not-free', in Grandad Bluey has the purple lunchbox and Bingo has the green one," one person shared on the platform.

The post had more theories shared by others.

"I always just assumed they swapped lunchboxes at some point," one commented.

"If Bluey is the gluten free one, what was Bingo in the hospital for? That's the only evidence I've seen for Bingo being the gluten free one."

Meanwhile, others said it could be that Bluey's parents are just being cautious because her friend Indy is known to be gluten intolerant and the school possibly has a food ban for her class.
