Abbie Chatfield has revealed why she hates Melbourne and will only come here for work.
The host of Binge reality series FBOY Island says the city is overrated and it’s always a battle to find coffee.
“I refuse to go to Melbourne,’’ she said.
“It’s a thing that my audience know I hate Melbourne. Basically everything bad happens in Melbourne, everyone claims the food is good, it isn’t as good as everyone claims, there’s no cafes open anywhere, I hate it.
“I only come for work. You’re all wrong, every time I try to find a coffee, we went to three different places that were all closed. At least I can get a coffee in Sydney. It’s awful.”
Chatfield is more positive about her new show, saying FBOY Island, which premiered on Binge last month, has been “quite cathartic”.
It follows three Australian women as they navigate the dating pool together to uncover who are the self-proclaimed “nice guys” looking for love, and who are the self-proclaimed “FBoys” only there to play the game and take home the cash prize.
“I have not had one negative DM about it,’’ she said.
“Obviously these men are getting called out for their poor behaviour and it’s quite good to see it on a show. Women aren’t getting gaslit because these guys are getting called out. It’s very cathartic for myself and the viewers.”
Chatfield has confirmed she is seeing someone special but will “never” post him on social media.
“I am seeing someone beautiful so it’s nice,’’ she said.
“I met him after FBOY Island so maybe I learnt a thing or two about how to spot an Fboy.
“No one will ever know who it is. I refuse to go to events, I’m incredibly boring, I would rather sit at home with him or my girlfriends.
“He does (have social media) but he’s not in the industry. I would rather die than post each other.”
