The Manangatang Cup draws thousands to the small northern Victorian town of Manangatang each year.

It’s a favourite for country racing enthusiasts, locals from nearby areas, and a chance for former residents to return home.

As one former local quipped, “We have a family reunion in November every year, and then they put on a horse race for us.”
