Ms Hotchin, 29, told the Leader she didn’t remember much about the incident which left her shaken and bruised.

“It happened so fast, I saw him coming towards me and there was nowhere to go so I just hit the brakes and hoped for the best,” she said.

“I don’t really remember the moment of impact but I remember flying through the air and landing on my back.”

Ms Hotchin said her motorcycle was destroyed in the smash and the car, a Hyundai Cerato, was likely also a write-off.

“There were tyre prints on his bonnet from my bike,” she said.

“The driver seemed pretty shocked, l too, and he kept apologising so I gave him a hug when I left.”

Ms Hotchin, who has been riding motorcycles for about seven years, said she was looking forward to getting back on a bike when her bruising healed.

Victoria Police has been contacted for comment.
