Wodonga crash: Man left in serious condition after Parkland Drive crash

A man in his 70s was left in a serious condition and hospitalised after being hit by a car in Wodonga.

Investigations are underway after a cyclist was left hospitalised after being struck by a car in Wodonga.

It is believed the cyclist, a Wodonga man in his 70s, was struck by a car after riding along Parkland Dr in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Paramedics were called to the scene around 7.45am on Saturday morning while Wodonga Police also attended the incident.

The male rider was flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition after sustaining a head injury. Police described the injuries as non-life threatening.

The female driver stopped at the scene to provide assistance to the injured cyclist.

In a statement, police confirmed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and that the investigation remains ongoing.
