These talented women are masters of precision, focus, attention to detail, and patience as they demonstrate their expertise in various lash artistry techniques.

BEST LASH TECHNICIAN IN MORNINGTON PENINSULA

Jess Ketelaar of Lashes by Jess K

The winner crowned the best lash technician in Mornington Peninsula is Jess Ketelaar.

Ms Ketelaar, who always knew her calling was in beauty, started her home salon five years ago in Mount Eliza.

“My mum’s a beauty therapist and so when I was 14 took a short course in lashes and have been in the industry ever since,” she told the Herald Sun.

Growing her business and clientele through word of mouth and social media, Ms Ketelaar said she was “over the moon” to be named the best in Mornington Peninsula.

“I‘m really excited and so happy. I’m grateful to even be nominated in this race,” she said.

Ms Ketelaar said her speciality was in classic lashes, hybrids and volumes but what made her stand out was the “natural look” that she offered.

“I allow my services for every age group. we start each appointment with the consultation. People can show me inspiration photos to give me an idea.”

BEST LASH TECHNICIAN IN NORTHERN MELBOURNE

The winner to take the best lash technician in Melbourne’s north is Jessica of The Lash Life.

Jessica said she was “shocked” to be winning the crown for the top lash tech.

“I really love being a lash tech and making women feel confident and beautiful,” she said.

“I‘m really proud because I’ve worked really hard and I really enjoy it. I love my work. Everyone who knows me knows that.”

The mum-to-two said she loved lashes wanted to be a working mum.

“When I was pregnant with my second child, I decided to study and then when she was about one, I did the lash course. I started my business is 2018 and since then i’ve just worked up from there,” she said.

From her clientele ranging from 20 years old to 50, Ms Jessica said her clients had build a relationship more than just clientele, over time. 

“I believe what sets me apart is that when my clients come they comfortable and we talk about our life and have half a therapy session

“I really work with my clients and try and give them what they want. I work from home now so I try and be quite personal with all my clients.”

BEST LASH TECHNICIAN IN SOUTHEAST MELBOURNE

Nikki Baran of Asena Beauty

Taking the title of Melbourne southeast’s best lash tech in 2023 is Asena Beauty’s Nikki Baran.

Starting her business eight years ago from the comfort of her home, the qualified beauty therapist has grown her name in the community.

“I fell into lashing and it's become a passion. It’s something hat has grown with me and I dedicate everything to my business,” she told the Herald Sun.

Ms Baran said her listening skills and attentiveness to her clients needs was what set her apart.

“I have many sets to offer. We have just introduced megavolume and mega thick volume make a volume and make it fit volume. I can pretty much do anything to fit my clients needs," she said. 

The full-time mum to three said winning the title of the best in Melbourne’s southeast was “life changing”.

“It‘s such an honor to win this title. It means such a great deal and I really appreciate all the effort everyone took to nominate me and vote for me,” she said.

“It‘s such a great honor to be recognized in the industry for my services. I’ve come a long way and this will make a very big mark in the future ahead.”

BEST LASH TECHNICIAN IN EASTERN MELBOURNE

Adriana Faye Kascha of Beauty at Akoya

Owner of Beauty at Akoya and lash education company Advanced Beauty Institute, Adriana Kascha is crowned the best lash technician in Eastern Melbourne.

Ms Kascha, who started her career in the beauty industry about 12 years ago, said her clients always get a customised sets that suited each person's individual face and eye shape.

“Being in the industry for so long, I’ve grown with the lash trends and found lash extensions were more of my niche and that’s been my main focus,” she said.

“I really just love the job and love creating beautiful sets of lashes on everybody. I‘m really passionate about protecting the natural health of the natural clients lashes and creating the beautiful looks with the extensions.”

Ms Kascha said she was “really excited” to be named the best.

“I have so much gratitude for all my loyal clients who took the time to nominate and vote for me,” she said.

“I’m really happy that the lash industry is being recognized too.”

BEST LASH TECHNICIAN IN MELBOURNE’S WEST

Alyssa O'Rourke of Lyss Bliss

The lash tech crowned the best lash technician in Melbourne’s west is Alyssa O‘Rourke.

Owner and founder of Lyss Bliss Beauty, Ms O‘Rourke also is an online trainer at Locks Lash.

Regular client Angela C said, lashes at Lyss Bliss “lasted long” and the staff “professional and friendly”.

“This is the best lash studio l have been too. with highest attention to detail, Lyss Bliss always goes above and beyond, the retention is fantastic with my lashes lasting a good 4 weeks,” she wrote.

“ l was about to give up on Lash Extensions, & then l came across the Lyss Bliss and the magic they perform and l have never looked back.”
