The countdown is over and Victoria has decided who is the best beauty skin specialist.

The Herald Sun went on a rigorous hunt and asked the people of Victoria who they thought was the best beauty skin specialist.

We received hundreds of comments and dozens entries nominating the masters of microdermabrasion, medical peel, facials and skin dermal needling.

You voted and now the race is over to crown the state’s best beauty skin specialists.

GIA QUINTA SKIN, CRANBOURNE

Taking the spot of the second runner-up in Victoria’s best skin gurus is private home clinic Gia Quinta Skin, located in Cranbourne North.

Bachelor of Dermal Science student Mikaela Giaquinta, who started the business from “ground-up” about three years ago, she said the recognition meant ”everything”.

Ms Mikaela Giaquinta from Gia Quinta Skin, Cranbourne takes home the third place for Victoria’s best beauty skin specialists.

“It‘s quite amazing that I was even nominated...it gives a lot of credibility (knowing) that I have that type of feedback, and I’m considered one of the best,” she said.

“It shows my clients have gotten the results from the healing they‘ve wanted in their skin.”

SHEPPARTON SKIN AND BODY

Shepparton Skin and Body secured second place among Victoria’s finest skin experts.

Owner Chelsea Harbor, who took over the 30-year-old business five years ago and transformed the then-day spa into a renowned skin clinic, told the Herald Sun it took “a lot of hard work” to change the business to what it is today.

“When I took over, I made it skin-focused — we brought in lasers for hair removal, and they also do skin treatments using incredible products like Germaine de Capuccini, which give incredible results,” she said.

“All our hard work in changing our business, which is being recognised, is incredible.”

“This means a great deal to me; my ultimate satisfaction comes from witnessing the positive changes in my client’s skin and their confidence over time, but winning the competition is a sweet, unexpected bonus,” she said.
