Chantel Mila, who took the internet by storm sharing home organising and styling tips when she started creating content on social media, said her journey had been “a lot of fun”.

“I started my channel back in 2020, and at that time, I had an audience of like 14 people,” she said.

“I started sharing tips and tricks to help people manage their time and create these really beautiful spaces around the home. And the response I received from those posts was just amazing.”

The Melbourne-based home tips expert now has a massive organic following of 1.5 million on Instagram and advises budding influencers to “find a topic you are really passionate about”.

“It‘s really easy to create every day when you love what you do, and you love what you’re putting out into the world,” she said.

The mum-of-two said being named one of the top 100 Victorian Instagram influencers felt surreal.

“I started creating with the intention to help people, and it‘s such a joy to be able to do that every day, and I’m just so appreciative of the community that is built.”

“I share my passion with people in the most authentic way I know how and just really build a community around that passion,” she said,

Mother-of-two Laleh Mohmedi of Melbourne transforms healthy meals into fun characters and has garnered a following of 264,000 said consistency is key to success on Instagram.

“My biggest advice is to post consistently and not worry about everything being perfect. That‘s one of my biggest problems. Like everything has to be perfect in my videos, and Instagram used to be about that when it was just images, but now it’s just raw,” she said.

Foodie Sarah Brown of Melbourne shares her healthy recipes with her 172,000 followers said it took time to get where she is.

“It was a long time of no growth for about four or five years. And then in June last year, I had a couple of videos go viral, and I got 100,000 followers in 30 days,” she said.

The food blogger said testing different styles of editing videos could help the audience grow.

“If you‘ve been doing a style for a couple of months and you haven’t seen any results, it’s time to change your style because it’s definitely not too late for anything to go viral,” she said.
