Werribee paedophile Steven Sikora jailed for soliciting child porn via Kik Messenger

A Werribee sicko used a noted paedophile hunting ground social media app to groom and solicit child porn from 27 victims.

A Werribee sicko preyed on 27 young girls online, sending them explicit messages, videos and photos and convincing some to send him child porn in return.

Steven Sikora, 33, was sentenced in the County Court to a minimum of two years’ jail after pleading guilty to 37 charges including using a carriage service to solicit child pornography. .

Sikora hunted underage victims aged between eight and 15 via Kik Messenger between January 2017 and September 2019.

Sikora sent the girls highly sexualised messages, telling a 13-year-old, “can’t believe your 13 cos its my fantasy to f*ck an underage girl” and “I wanna make you scream in pain” before sending four photos of his genitals.

The sicko detailed to a 10-year-old victim how he would have sex with her six-year-old sister Sikora got another 10-year-old victim to send lewd images of herself.

Another victim sent Sikora naked photos of her four-year-old sister in the bath, the court heard.

Sikora, who also pleaded guilty to transmit indecent communication, repeatedly sent other victims explicit photos and videos of him committing lewd acts.

The depraved fiend’s vile crimes ended when police raided his Werribee home, where he lived with his parents, on December 12, 2019.

The court heard Sikora gave police his passwords and access codes to his phone and email accounts which led to authorities discovering the 343 images and 71 videos of child porn.

Sikora’s lawyer told the court his client was “lost” at the time of his crimes, and struggled with low self esteem and difficulty developing and maintaining meaningful relationships.

It was heard Sikora was using ice at the time of the crimes, having been addicted to the drug since his early 20s.

Sikora grew up on a farm in regional Victoria as a young child and struggled with learning difficulties at school.

The court heard he had been diagnosed with underlying pedophaelic disorder and severe stimulant use disorder and suffered psychological immaturity.

Sikora had prior convictions for trafficking cannabis and possessing cannabis.

The court was told Sikora had undertaken a sex offenders program as well as drug and alcohol counselling while on bail.

Judge Paul Lacava said Sikora’s strong family support and lack of jail history meant his rehabilitation would benefit from an early release on parole.

He also noted Sikora was relatively young and had pleaded guilty early.

Sikora was jailed maximum of four years and made a registered sex offender for life.
