Melton police investigate stabbing on Lynwood Dr, Thornhill Park after man fled scene

A man was stabbed multiple times in a suburban street before another man allegedly fled the scene in Melbourne’s west.
Melton detectives are investigating an altercation in Thornhill Park on Monday April 8.
Police believe two men were involved in a dispute at a residential address that continued onto the street of Lynwood Dr about 8am.
Police were told a 23-year-old Derrimut man received multiple stab wounds to the stomach.
The alleged offender then fled the scene.
Paramedics treated the 23-year-old at the scene before he was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is understood the men were known to each other.
Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
