Hoppers Crossing Stay-at-home dad Justin Gorniakowski jailed for child pornography offences

A “wicked” Hoppers Crossing dad saw his role as primary carer for his kids go kaput after he was nabbed with vile child porn.

A sicko stay-at-home Hoppers Crossing sex fiend dad nabbed with vile child abuse material has been jailed.

Justin Gorniakowski, 48, was sentenced in the County Court on Friday to 18 months’ jail after pleading guilty to multiple child porn charges.

Gorniakowski was arrested at his family home on July 9 last year after authorities learned the man had swapped child abuse material via messaging app Telegram.

Investigators determined Gorniakowski had “made available” more than 100 child abuse files to other sicko Telegram users.

Gorniakowski under username ‘@Ilikerussiangirls’ and display name ‘Bender Girl Over’ swapped more than 100 child abuse files with other sicko Telegram users, the court was told.

Police seized Gorniakowski’s phone which contained 366 child abuse material files.

Gorniakowski landed on the police radar after a “person” with an email associated to the fiend accessed child abuse material via website Mega.

Investigators later discovered Gorniakowski hoarded almost 4000 child abuse files on his Mega storage account.

Some of the vile material seized by police depicted children as young as six months old.

Police also determined Gorniakowski made “active requests” to trade child abuse material online.

The court heard Gorniakowski worked various jobs including at the Toyota factory and most recently as a cleaner but left work a few years to become the primary carer and housekeeper.

Gorniakowski’s wife gave evidence during Gorniakowski’s plea hearing that she was “frightened and shocked” and in “disbelief” when police knocked on their door.

Mrs Gorniakowski said her husband was the sole carer of their children while she worked at her job at a Melbourne council.

Gorniakowski, who appeared via videolink from Hopkins Correctional, had to move into a motel after he was arrested and charged, the court was told.

Judge Douglas Trapnell said Gorniakowski fuelled child abuse market with his “appalling wicked, and depraved material”.

Gorniakowski, who pleaded guilty to use a carriage service to cause child abuse material to be transmitted, was jailed for three years but will be released onto an 18-month good behaviour bond after serving 18 months.

He was made a registered sex offender for 15 years.
