Alleged robber hangs out of car after alleged Yarraville armed robbery

A man involved in an alleged armed robbery on a driver in Yarraville clung onto the desperate victim’s car as he tried to drive away.

An alleged robber has been captured on camera clinging onto a car as the desperate victim drove off after a scary incident in Yarraville.

The man, dressed in all black and wearing a balaclava, hung onto the passenger side open window as the driver tried to escape following the alleged incident in July.

The victim’s hand was cut with a machete after a duo allegedly made demands for drugs, cash and air pods.

Police believe two men allegedly approached the victim who was inside his parked car talking to a pedestrian on Somerville Rd about 2.40am on July 11, before allegedly threatening him with a machete.

Investigators have been told the unknown pair made demands for drugs, cash and air pods.

During the confrontation, the victim had his hand cut with the machete.

Officers believe the victim then drove off, while one of the men hung on to the window.

After a short while, the victim stopped the car along Geelong Rd and ran to safety.

The man allegedly took off with cash and a pair of air pods.

Investigators have released an image and vision of two men that may be able to help with their inquiries.
