Police have arrested a man from Melbourne’s west who allegedly took them on a high speed freeway chase.

A man from Melbourne’s west has been arrested after an alleged high speed freeway chase with police on Monday night.
Police spotted a Toyota Camry allegedly driving at high speeds on the Princes Freeway at Hoppers Crossing at 11pm.
The car was tracked to Laverton where a passenger allegedly jumped out of the car and police attempted to approach the vehicle.
The camry allegedly took off, with police airwing following the car as it headed towards Point Cook and Hoppers Crossing.
The 24-year-old male driver from Lara allegedly left the car at Hoppers Crossing and ran into a home at Baden Drive, where police located and arrested him.
He was interviewed by police and is expected to be charged on summons for theft of motor vehicle, driving in a dangerous manner, conduct endangering serious injury and other driving offences.
