A Warrnambool man has died after being seriously injured in a collision near Mortlake.
Emergency services rushed to the single-vehicle crash off the Hamilton Highway around 11am on January 31.
Paramedics treated the man for serious injuries he sustained from crashing into a tree.
The 63-year-old driver was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition with upper body injuries.
On Monday morning police confirmed the man died in hospital on Thursday, February 2 after succumbing to his injuries.
A police spokesperson said the investigation was ongoing.
