Thieves steal 18 brand new chainsaws valued over $20k from Chambers Portable Line Boring in Heywood

Police have released an image of two men they want to speak to about a smash and grab in Heywood last week.

Portland Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the theft of more than $20,000 worth of goods from Chambers Portable Line Boring lawn mower repair service.

Detectives have been told at least two men were believed to have smashed their way into the Princes Highway store about 4am on Thursday morning.

The men were caught on CCTV and investigators have since released images of the offenders they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

It has been alleged the men gained access to the store and fled with a quantity of cash and 18 chainsaws of varying value and brand before they left the scene.
