An analysis of newly-released 2022 NAPLAN results has revealed the best-performing schools across Victoria.

King’s College in Warrnambool ranked 37th among primary schools in regional Victoria, scoring an average of 519.60 across the five test subjects.

St Thomas School in Terang was 50th with an average score of 516.40, while Woodford Primary School was 81st, scoring 512.20.

The top performing secondary school in the southwest was the Hamilton and Alexandra College, ranked 19th in regional Victoria with an average result of 593.40.

Camperdown College ranked 45th regionally, and Apollo Bay P-12 College 61st.

To determine how each school performed in 2022, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (Year 5 or Year 9) were combined and the average found.

Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.

The figures were compiled from the Federal Government‘s MySchool website.
