Victoria University have begun celebrating their graduation ceremonies this week.
Hundreds of graduates, their family and friends have gathered at Flemington Racecourse to look back on their educational memories and move onto a new journey through their dream professions.
It’s time to meet the new faces of sport, health, engineering, education, business, law, IT and arts.
Victoria University vice-chancellor professor Adam Shoemaker said graduation day was one of the most “important moments” of any tertiary experience.
“As a Vice-Chancellor, they are also a yearly highlight for me,” Mr Shoemaker said.
“We see who we are as an institution cross the stage. We are global, diversely inclusive, and a positively celebratory community.”
He said it was a time where all students’ hard work, sacrifice and commitment pays off after completing all their studies.
“It is incredible powerful to watch more than a thousand Victoria University students receive their testamur as their friends and family watch with pride,” Mr Shoemaker said.
“Graduation is not just an end — it is a beginning — a launch pad into the next exciting phase of their lives and careers.”
