Russell Lehman kept the scoreboard ticking over with 32 at No. 3 and Sutton’s knock at No. 4 took the game away from Clyde, which had Sri Lankan first-class paceman Neranjana Wanniarachchi (1-40 off 8 overs) take the new ball.

In reply, Clyde made a steady start but at 1-44 lost star recruit former Sri Lankan Test batter Michael Vandort for 29, dismissed by Sutton.

The Cougars slumped to 5-65 before Suchintha Herath Mudiyanselage (22) and Wanniarachchi (20) led a rebuild.

But, with Sutton 3-22 off 8, Jack Mannix 3-22 and Brad Butler 2-21 bowling well in partnership, Clyde was dismissed in the 39th over for 133.
