The name change is complete.
And after almost half a century, the WGCA becomes the CCCA, representing a fresh start for cricket in the Casey Cardinia region in 2022-23.
The next task for the association is to come up with a new logo, according to CCCA president Rob Hansen.
“It’s got to be something that lasts,” he said.
“The other one has been the same for over 50 years.
“We are seeking designs at the moment and we’ve got about three groups looking into that.”
Hansen said there was no rush to come up with a logo but said it was imperative to get the design right.
“It’s got to represent what we are about,” he said.
Hansen said the association’s nickname, Warriors, would remain, as would the colours, red and white.
