Kingston Hawthorn’s Dowling Shield side has been strong in recent times and this season looks no different. Here’s what you need to know about every player in the 2023-24 squad.

Kingston Hawthorn made history last season when it made the final of the Dowling Shield competition.
It was the club’s first-ever grand final appearance.
A year on and the young Hawks are eager to build on that success, naming a talented squad to contest the the annual tournament starting from January 9-25.
The best Under 16 players from the region are among the 15-member squad.
Kingston Hawthorn’s Dowling Shield side will again be coached by Joel Lewis, who keeps wickets in the Hawks’ first XI and has led the youngsters with disctinction.
KINGSTON HAWTHORN’S SQUAD
Roshan Gunatilake
Named captain of the side and the only player who is a part of the senior Hawks squad. Will look to lead from the front batting in the top order and bowling his spin.
Jack Gibson
Hard-hitting batter that will look to take the game on Will also be one of the wicket keepers in the squad.
Dihein Fernando
Quality leg spinner with plenty of variations, plenty of talent and potential to win games.
Tom Grimes
A versatile batter who will be the other wicket keeper in the squad.
Jett Kelly
A local boy from Aspendale, will be a damaging batter in the middle order, and can also chip in with some off spin.
Gurkeerat Singh Kohar
Will lead the attack bowling pace, can swing the new ball and good skills at the death.
Hayagriv Mallichetty
Classy all round cricketer, very good batter and leg spinner.
Seyon Rajartnam
A quality leg spinner that spins it big, has great skills and is a genuine wicket taker.
Dylan Wells
A good all round cricketer, can bat anywhere in the line up and bowls good spin.
Frank McCammon
Good seam bowler that hits the wicket hard, can also hit the ball hard batting in the lower order.
Darcy Murray
A local boy from just up the road at Parkdale, a busy batter who hits the ball hard and has had a great start to the season.
Jack O’Donnell
A seam bowler who can swing it around corners. Will be a handful for opposition batters when conditions suit.
Jack Power
A genuine all-rounder who swings the ball nicely and can bat in the top six.
Aidan Sheffield
A top-order batter who has made a good start to the year. Can hit the ball cleanly.
Gyan Weerasiri
A classy top-order left hand batter who has the potential to score a lot of runs.
