Dave Brennan brings up game 400 for Altona Sports Cricket Club

A 400-gamer’s milestone couldn’t have gone “better” as he put the cherry on top for a sensational win for his side. Here’s what happened.

Matt Renshaw's late heroics: Every ball from a BONKERS final over!

Despite being 35 years into his cricket career, Dave Brennan continues to surprise himself.

In his 400th game for Altona Sports on Saturday, Brennan got more than he bargained for when he hit the winning runs in his side’s Western Suburbs Churches and Community Cricket Association clash with Westgate.

Brennan launched the ball over the cow corner boundary for six to cap off a special day in his career.

During his time with the club, Brennan has scored almost 7500 runs with a high score of 137 and taken over 150 wickets.

He is a former committee member, A-grade premiership captain, five-time premiership player and continues to captain the lower grades to develop junior talent.

And he’s had over 700 teammates along the way.
