Man dies, woman in hospital after Endeavour Hills house fire

A man in his 80s has died and a woman has been hospitalised following a horrifying fire at an Endeavour Hills home.
Emergency services were called to Wilshire Ct about 6.30pm on Thursday after reports a house was fully alight.
A Fire Rescue Victoria spokesperson said firefighters found one man dead inside the home and evacuated a woman in her 70s.
The victim was confirmed by police on Friday afternoon as an 82-year-old man who lived at the home.
The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to Dandenong Hospital for observation.
The blaze was brought under control within 29 minutes, shortly after 7pm.
Police said the cause of the fire was yet to be determined but was not being treated as suspicious.
