Japanese juggernaut Uniqlo is coming to Frankston.

The much loved clothing brand, known globally for its Life Wear range, is opening at the Bayside Centre this Spring.

The centre announced the new addition on Monday morning.

Uniqlo will open on Level 1, next to Pandora and Forever New.

The space being taken Uniqlo has been vacant since Myer closed on January 15.

Bayside Centre owner Vicinity has been “re-imagining” the shopping hub since the exit of Myer.

Bargain hunters will also be able to shop at a new look TK Maxx which is set to relocate from its current home in Shannon Street Mall to the ground floor of the Bayside Centre next to Vans and Platypus.

Myer once leased three levels of the centre and when it closed earlier this year was one of just two tenants on Level 2 after the food court closed during the global pandemic.

The Bayside Centre welcomes more than 10 million visitors each year.

In addition to its ongoing retail and restaurant revamp, Vicinity is also creating a commercial hub at 12 Balmoral Walk.

The $116m eight storey office and commercial tower to be built next to the Bayside Centre includes ground level retail and dining below 14,000sq m of office space.
